Some people believe that Sioux/native Americans are a scenario instead of a civ.

well in the official site it says in particular: Leaders such as Hammurabi of the Babylonians, Abraham Lincoln of the United States, and Sitting Bull of the Native Americans will provide the player with even more choices on who they want to play.

who they want to play. So i take this as the Sioux/native Americans and official civilization for beyond the sword?

Discuss.

I am sure they are in the real game, no real reason why they would only be in scernios, it is a game focus on the modern era so i doubt there are any screnios with him in (i could be wrong though!)

They have been treating it as an absolute in the main game thing. I just hope they choose "Sioux" as the final name for the Civ and not some confusing pan-American Indian but not the other three American Indian Civ name.

As far as I know (please correct me when I'm wrong) it has never been the case that Firaxis made a fully animated leaderhead for just a scenario and judging by the concept art of Sitting Bull, he will probably have an animated leaderhead. Thus the Sioux/Native Americans will probably be a fully playable civ.

The prophecy has come true.
Sitting Bull will finally have a 3D leaderhead!
