If you visit the Firaxis website & click the BtS link under the Games menu, you will notice an image of a new leader on the very bottom of the screen (the image is tinted orange). I'm thinking that this is a leader for Austria, a civ that has not yet been confirmed, but I'm not sure. What do you guys think?

Hmmm.... The image does appear on every page on the site. Well, It does look like a Civ4 concept.

This has been discussed before. It is de Gaulle, but it is from Railroads, and apparently is not for Civ 4 from everything I've heard.

In the the html source code the image is footer.jpg so nothing special there.

If they are adding another French leader, please let it be Phillip Augustus and not de Gaulle...please don't let the WW2 culture poisoning blind Firaxis to leaders from hundreds of years of history and other great leaders.

I haven´t seen the picture.

But I think they should introduce at least one more greek leader. I think there was an Athen leader during the wars against Persia. Athens reached its golden epoch under his rule, but i don´t remember the name yet. I want to have on leader from the greek democracy not only Alexander.

Greece, Spain and Japan are pretty much the only civs that require extra leaders right now in my opinion. Though Germany could probably use Kaiser Wilhelm. How aggressive is Bismarck? He still hasn't appeared in my games.

It's sad but it's true of so many people...

I'm probably going to take another sabbatical until the BtS comes out, just to avoid these pre-release discussions.
