View Full Version : Keep the NES alive!
SKILORD May 10, 2002, 09:10 PM put your name here and vow to help keep NES's alive. I can see the faith in them being shattered and will not allow this limitless, fun thing to be strangled in the cradle!
SNES will continue to serve th dedicated. Even if we at SNES are alone!
Toasty May 10, 2002, 09:22 PM I promote the continuation of the NES but not the first one. It is what I'd call a 'beta' or 'trial'version of NES. We have some better structured and slower-moving ones, such as the UKNES and NES II. The NES lives on, man :D.
Sullla May 10, 2002, 10:59 PM I have not read all of the NES games going on at the moment, but it appears that the standardized versions that have been developed are proceeding nicely. uknemesis' game, the one I'm playing in right now, seems to be going well: there has already been a conflict between nations, which has been resolved by the game controller explaining what happened (NOT those involved posting what happened). The NES concept will continue and be successful so long as people are willing to stay with it and continue to iron out the bugs that remain in the system.
sealman May 11, 2002, 08:35 PM I concur... NES's are a great way to play while at work :D The slower moving games with a moderator makes all the difference. In UK's current game, the conflict between America vs. England, France and Spain would never have been possible under unstructured games.
The Troquelet May 11, 2002, 11:00 PM NES are amazingly fun.. I am also in UK's game (as Persia) - the diplomacy aspect of the game is interesting and strategy is more necessary than you'd think...
My sole question is, what is the goal of NES besides having fun?
wilboman May 12, 2002, 03:48 AM :goodjob: YEAH! NES FOREVER! YEAH!:goodjob:
It's the next best thing to MP at the moment anyway!
uknemesis May 15, 2002, 10:04 AM The goal of a NES is world domination or world unity by any means possible, at least in my game.
In the UKNES(I like that term for it Toasty! :D ), the game will progress to the modern age, and then continue until one country rules the world, which I don't think will happen due to me favouring defenders usually, or we decide to hold the UN Secretary General elections, which would be held by everyone sending their vote by PM to me, and not being allowed to vote for themselves.
Then a winner could be announced.
Nemesis
Dexter May 15, 2002, 10:40 AM I swear to never let this game die!! I will play until my death (or until I've moved on and don't have time;))
Viva La NES
Erik Mesoy May 18, 2002, 03:03 AM We need someone back in the "I know, I know" NES. 4 players are needed quickly, otherwise Scandinavia will be in a 1vs3 war.
Kushanis May 18, 2002, 07:40 PM Gee.. i only have six different bookmarked NES's.
Guess what i support? :D
VanillaCube May 20, 2002, 06:30 AM Ya know I think Im gonna go and begin a missinary post to bring some of those backwards and barbaric CIV2 people in here ;) just so they can enjoy the sweet fruit called NES.
