Okay, I bought an older game on CD from a yard sale. It's meant for Windows 9x, so I tried compatablity mode (don't suggest it!). But when I run the setup:
The drive you are trying to run this CD from doesn't support playback of CD audio.
The thing is, audio CDs work on it!
What do i do now?

Copy all the files from the cd to your hard drive and run the setup from there

if you have a DVD drive, there should not be any sound problems unless:
* your sound card is not working?
* the drive is not connected physically to the board. there should be 3 cable going out of the DVD.
a power cable, a data cable and a sound cable (4 colors, wide grey one and thin grey/black)
try (if you have a second cd/dvd drive) to play it there.
i presume you have a WinXP setup.
there shouldnt be any compatibility problems with 9x.
try running setup normally?

The other drive is used for burning DVD/CD's but I could try it.
And I have no idea how to take the drive out of the computer to check. lol.
