in some games, I can't get the mouse to leave the window;.. it disappears when I go out of the window

Any idea what to do

Try alt-tabbing "out of the window".

You could also type Ctrl+F10 (I think... it might be one of the other Fn keys) to get Dosbox to release the mouse.
