Ideas are floating around without any real decisions being made. It's been suggested that we use an IM client, but which? I'd like to see what people think. The quicker this is sorted, the quicker we can make progress.:) I'm not that fussed personally.

I think the key here is to effectively balance all the available options. Everything has its benefits, and they all need to be effectively utilized. IRC is not necessarily "better" than MSN, or anything else for that matter, but simply an extremely efficient method for rapid group communication and discussion.

Xfire and MSN if you ask me :)

Even though those are mainly used for one-on-one chats and discussions, I still prefer them...

msn is good.
only thing is that msn has problems.
it drops dead alot at my place.
Xfire is only for 1 to 1. so that isnt a real option.
so it would be msn or IRC.
may i ask what you voted Qdin?

actualy i would ask everybody to explain what he/she voted and why.

I have pretty much always used IRC for such things.

Xfire isn't just for 1 on 1 :P

There's somethng called 'Group Chats' which is better than any other IM I've seen... The Group Admin can give 'permission' to different users - even silecning them :) And you can make that chat permanent, meaning that if someone leaves he can easily rejoin that specific group chat 'room' through Servers>Xfire Groupchats. you can also rename the groupchats and everything.

I will most doubtly ever get on that IRC... it seems too stupid if I'm not gonna get a fast respond from the ones I'm asking... :/

Yeah I didn't see any questions either, but what do you mean by not getting a fast response on IRC? AFAIK IRC is the quickest method of discussion available. I'm not in any way hating on XFire, IRC just seems to be a more full-featured group discussion tool, IMO at least.
