Hi, i downloaded a file today from online.

When i opened the file, i saw a command prompt come up for a split second and then dissapeared. Then stuff started happening, and my IE crashed. There was a weird process named lsass.exe running, and for some reason iTunes opened. A lot of cookies and unwanted things are now coming on my computer and my IE is still crashing!

Maybe a virus? Run your virus checker. Might want to run your adware software as well.

lsass.exe can be legitimate or harmful (http://www.liutilities.com/products/wintaskspro/processlibrary/lsass/). It always shows up in my Task Manager, taking up about 1.1 MB memory and 0% CPU. So there's no guarantee it's the culprit.

run your AV, scan for malware.

Yeah, i would try your virus scaner to see if there is a virus. if nothing else trun on your firewall. hope it all works out.
