I'm trying to transfer a file for a scenario I helped work on, and the file is too big for a "regular" uploader, so I am forced to use a FTP. Problem is, I have no idea in hell how to use one of these.

I've got the address I'm supposed to put the files too, I've got a log-in and password, but every time I try to connect, I get a 530 error which means that my log-in and password are incorrect. However, I am sure that they are correct.

What could I possibly be doing wrong?

it could be that your log-in is log-in@site.com instead of just log-in

No, I am fairly confident that my log-in is my log-in, but I'll try again.

Are you using Internet Explorer, or a real FTP program?

Its not you. For some reason the FTP isnt allowing me to log in from other accounts. It's always fails at the password.

EDIT: This is what I get for not reading the instructions

you can try accessing it via Windows Explorer, NOT Internet explorer.
(open My Computer, and type the adress in the line)

seems wierd, but sometimes it will work.
not all FTPs are IE friendly

something like this:
