Every time I complete a game and it reaches the animation part when the barbarian/warrior hits with his hammer to give me a "rank", the game crashes and I am left with a white frozen screen.

I would be grateful for your help, anyone?

T. A. Jones: I am playing with "Play the World" version 1.14f without any patches. I have tried to install patch 1.27f but then the game proved unplayable and I had to uninstall everything in the end.
I must add that prior to this problem I rarely experienced crashes or bugs.

HI , ya it looks like your problem is the HOF file. Though Ive never played PtW. I can send you on the right path by searchin 'PtW' 'crash' ' finish' or 'end game' or 'HOF' You see what I mean. 4 years of trouble shooting locked in those archives, someone has you problem fixed.

Sorry can't be more help. I like keeping records to. Mybe take PrtScn's of your F11 data for now. I'll tell ya, those numbers make a lot more sence then the final score does anyway :)

The HOF file is your Highscores.civ3 file in your PTW folder

I could not find the file as I haven't got one: The game keeps crashing before reaching the High Scores window.

T. A. Jones: I have searched the forums and could not find anything meaningful relating to my peoblem. I consult the F11 screen frequently but what I really want to do is carry on playing after the win (or loss) and I can't.

Mr Moderator, beside moderating, is it in your capacity to resolve what should be a simple matter but is in fact a now a big nuisance for a humble customer?

Should I bin this faulty game, draw the line under £60 misspent and forget upgrading to Civilasation IV?
