Yeah.

For those of you who can't tell, I'm Lockesdonkey, the Judge Advocate. Seeing as we have no actual Chief Justice, and there isn't a Public Defender either, I'm the only elected member of the Judiciary at the moment. So I guess I'll start this thread.

However, I'm going to lay out some ground rules:

1. I'm not the Chief Justice. Remember that. I might take the title "Acting Chief Justice," for form's sake, but I don't think it right to do anything beyond that.

2. This means that no rulings will be issued during the upcoming session, at least not until there is an actual Chief Justice. You may, however, file petitions.

3. I will continue to issue opinions in my capacity as Judge Advocate, if I have time.

Sorry for the trouble.

Yours, etc.

And now that it appears that Provolution will be the ad interim Real Chief Justice, I happily say I'm just the Judge Advocate.

Hello there, I am the provisional Chief Justice, as asked by some of the people.
I look forward to good cooperation, in an otherwise slow period.

I find this whole way of going a bit strange. It would've been more fair and just if Lockesdonkey is promoted to Chief Justice and Provolution assigned the Judge Advocate. After all Provolution joined the citezenry 6 days ago while Lockesdinkey is with us right from the start.

Provolution has played in previous demogames so he knows how the court works.

Nah, that is not the way these games "work".

Not looking so, but Black Hole and Hyronymus said similar things; but,

No need to show knowledge here to get any place/Office.

Otherwise, Judges must prove their degree in Law, DP in computers, other

Officers in the game; and all in English.

Best regards,

Provolution

To the majority of the people, thank you for the trust vested in me.

Hyronymus, why so grumpy, someone asked for this seat to be filled, and I rose to the occasion. If you want me to step down, please do so.

No, I don't want you to step down but I have the feeling there is something odd about the way this went. It has nothing to do with you (or Lockesdonkey for that matter). I have to read up the Constitution I think to see if I can get my head around it.

I believe that lockesdonkey showed a disinterest in being promoted early in the process, and that others involved in the judicial nomination process showed no interest in taking the chief justice role. While I also wish one of the citizens present when the constitution were written had asked for the chief justice position, Provolution was the first to show interest in doing the job, which is the most important part.
