Can someone with a better knowledge of flc's please help me find/make a plague flc that shows green puffs rising from the city like in Civ IV? And if anyone knows about something like this, or a thread on which I can request this, please let me know.

Plontinus I believe made an alternative plague animation however it doesnt show green puffs.

find it here: C:\Program Files\Infogrames Interactive\Civilization III\Conquests\Art\Animations\Plague

This is the one I have in the game, don't recall whether it is the original or a mod:

That's the original one. I made one that has no birds flying around, so it's just a skull.

I misread the first post.

Maybe you could use the volcano smoulder animation.

It's not green, but maybe it could be modded.

I think I'll make one that has a dead bird and skulls flying around:)

Well what I'm looking for might be similar to the Civ IV transparent green smoke that rises from unhealthy cities. And I'm thinking that it's going to have to be made, but I can't because of the pallet. I could make it myself, if I knew how to add/change colors of the pallet.
Pounder:
Somthing like that, but greener, and wide enough to span a city.

That one actually shows up as gray/black in the game.

Still, I say it's worth a shot.

While we're on this topic, is anyone able to make (or has already made) a fluctuating glow for happy cities?

The Civ 4 one is OK, but I always thought that a general glow eminating from the cities would be more appropriate for preindustrial eras.

I don't think it's possible to make something that is green and transparent. The palette just won't allow it. So the animation Pounder posted might be as close as you're going to get.

My plague animation is here (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=170824). It's completely different though.

It could probably be done using the fireworks animation.

I would be more happy when plague animation had only birds, not that gigantic ugly skull

Like this.

I'll post it on the graphics mod forum above.

Smoking Mirror, IIRC, made a green cloud animation as a generic chemical gas attack. It could be modified to use as a plague animation.
