I was adding a fill civs, and I decide to test to see what else I need to do, and to see if the diplomacy that I add was working alright.

Everything looks perfect (I haven't add the UUs yet, of why you seeing familiar UU with the new civ), until I run into this picture thing in the middle of the game.

What is that? And how I get then out?

Edit: By the way, that is one of the leaderheads, which is not in this actual game. I put all the new civs to play on this test, expect the one of the head that you see in the pic.

Remnants, I thought you made a Mount Rushmore mod at first.

Maybe you a missing a file somewhere? Is there an alpha file associated with those LH pcx's?

What do you mean by an Alpha file?

And the civ that has a leaderhead as a city, has the other cities like any other normal city, so that head is only showing in one place.

When you move around the map does the head stay put or does it move with the map staying over the same tile (city).

You have given me an idea for a Dr.Evil's lair mod.

Nope it stays in the same place. Is like the city is a head.

Well if you are thinking in placing this as an idea, you probable know how to do what I did, so how do I take it off?:D

Maybe you named an LH File with a city file name.

Wouldn't that make the other cities (of the same civ), a big head too?

Yes it would.

Unless this is the first city that has walls (maybe).

Nope it wasn't their first city, I have no idea how that head got there, as I did not add any file to any other place other then, RACE, LEADERHEAD and flic.

edit:Here another picture, you can see the capital, + the head:mad:.

But that's not the same city. Look at the colors of that capital, the borders are green. They are yellowish of the head city. Check the city graphic pcx's, you must have added the pic in one of them, for some reason, or maybe you added a path in the civpedia.txt file that makes one culture group have the wrong pcx for their cities.

Or maybe you forgot to assign the civ to a culture group, and then this happens, but I doubt it works that way.

Actually, you've hit the nail on the head, Yoda. If a civ has their culture group assigned to "none," in eras 2, 3 & 4 they will have the cities for the Asian culture group an era previously. In era one they'll have graphics from certain other places; the modern era angry advisor bubblehead of the last civilization on the list in the editor covers one size of city; somewhere in the terrain_buildings.pcx featured another. I found this out a couple of years ago when I was researching how you could have an extra culture group; however, it would effectively limit it to a single-era mod, which is why I didn't persue it.

Incidently, that leaderhead was one I made a couple of years ago - glad to see it's still in use ;) !

That is the problem then, I got your Mali and Ghana too R8XFT, and I made then as none on the culture group.

CivIII doesn't have an African group (go figure), I don't think is a way to add culture groups, so I went with none (as none of the above culture was correct...lol).

I'll go and link those countries in other group, and see if it works out.

:rotfl: What were those programmers smoking? That has to be the wierdest case of hard-coding I've heard of.

I change the culture group of the civs, and now is not getting the head thing anymore. But I had to start a new game, because the head was still there after I change, so I start a new game(and finish playing), and everything seems ok so far.

Now I'm finishing add in the UUs.

Thanks for everyones help.
