I read something like there bing an option that you can only trade off techs you yourself learn, meaning you can help out a weakling without the worry that he will sell all of what you just gave him.

I really like this, and i think it can fix a lot. i always leave tech trades on so i can help vassals, etc. Does turning it off stop AI's from, demanding techs?

I think it would also be nice if i could stipulate that a certain tech not be traded for x turns.

yah i'm a sucker for the small weak civs. in one game Tokugawa wasn't making any workers or settlers so i went on editer and gave him like 10 settlers and 15 workers. < Then he beated me. :(

im merciful too. except i don't use worldbuilder, and i actually give the techs to civs i like or i know have the potential, so then they became my buddies and then we go conquering the world before turning on each other. but since i didn't give them all the technologies, i beat them up in the end.
