Shaitan Reported himself as possibly violating the constitution.
For deatails see the thread public investigations (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=22674).

Use this thread here for discussion about this incident. We will eventually also post a poll afterwards if needed.

While this may have technically violated the constitution, there was no intent to do wrong, and, in fact, the reasoning for leaving that amendment out was very sound. The amendment can be added after discussions surrounding the issue have concluded and another poll is posted. No harm was done, and therefore no charges should be filed as a result of this invesigation.

:spank:

That's for you Shaitan.

The reasoning is sound - even more so if turn chats are done away with!

I agree also. If no one else reported to be offended by it, I would say case closed.

Thanks for the support. I wasn't comfortable excluding the article but the situation had changed so much since the Citizen Poll that I felt it invalidated the article and would only have led to more confusion.

Is a poll needed to clear me?

I think that clearly Shaitan had the best interests of the people in mind when he modified the ammendment.

The intent of our constitution is to support our democracy. Taking a leadership role in shaping that direction should be applauded, not inhibited. Shaitan should be cleared of any wrongdoing immediately.

Having just spent the entire weekend out of town serving on a real-life investigative board, I would hope that we can clear Shaitan quickly and get him back to posting polls! That may become a seperate part of his job description!
