Hello. I've been scanning the headlines, and couldn't see anything resembling my idea, so I hope I'm not reposting an idea already posted by someone else.

I think the PBEM approach in Civ IV is bothersome at best. I would like the game to get some interface, where I could input some data to a FTP server. URL. Username. Password. Then the game would automatically save the game onto the FTP server. It may then be necessary to save some additional information, like which player is the next to move or something. So when you start up the game, and move into the multiplayer menu, you could get a list of your active PBEM/FTP games, and it would only need to fetch a small textfile for each game, to see in which of those games it is your turn. You could then execute each of them in turn without the need of fetching files from emails etc...

I think this would improve the quality of PBEM games considerably.

Regards. Steen. :)
