Just an idea but would anyone want to set up a mini competition to see who can predict the correct results for the world cup. I know one site thats free to enter and would allow some of us to create a mini league to see who's predictions are the most accurate. Or someone could suggest another site that we could have a competition on.

The site should be okay although I do not know the creator of the site directly, so it may be safer if someone else finds another WC competition site. Then we could play in two competitions.

An alternative would be doing it ourselves. I don't think that hundreds of people will join so it should be possible to do that on our own and therefore be independant from possible failures at a third party's site.
Another advantage would be that we could do different rounds of playing. After the group stage everyone could take on the knock-out rounds with the knowledge of who is in it. If you take everything at the beginning, a lucky choice multiplies. For example if Senegal should advance you would get points for their victories in the group stage as well as their advancement itself.
Besides we could discuss a point system on our own.

That's what I don't like about this competition. You get points just for predicting the number of goals a team scores. I think I put 3-1 for France, so that 1 gave me one point. But I was nowhere closer to the real result than others.

Anyway... I'll get that Basta! :D

Taking awhile for the site to be updated...However I will have 6 points when its updated as I correctly predicted the result in the Ireland game against Cameroon and will receive a point from correctly guessing the goal count for Uruguay.

Well Willem correctly predicted the Brazilian result and the scores so now I am 2 points behind now after only getting the result correct. Need italy to win 3-0 to get my third 5 pointer.

Well I have 35 points overall and am in 4th positiion. Group D has been my worst group as I have failed to score any points. Groups A, B, C, D have only given me 7 points between whereas I have recieved 28 points from groups E, F, G and H.
