This is the place for discussion between the governors, but all other officials and citizens are very welcome to discuss here too.

Um...shouldn't we wait until the next term technically begins?

Well, as I'll be gone the first few days of the term, I wanted to get all threads and stuff in place in time. I had nothing better to do at the moment either, so I thought it would be best to do it now.

Dutchfire is right, there are a few important issues to discuss including the allocation of cities as our empire grows. It's never a bad idea to plan your government before it actually takes power. Also in previous terms the Khural has been established early for such purposes.

@DaveShack: I would like to request that the settler currently located in EA be used in the creation of the planned city of NOTB.

Sorry, I realize I made the same request in another thread before I remembered this one.

In regards to military: Do we have enough cities planning to build military in the upcoming turnchat? Also, can we afford many more units? I noticed NOTA is still defended by a warrior. I'm considered replacing the warrior with a proper unit and releasing the warrior from service.

@Warlord: What units are desired from you? If I build units for our military, I'd like to know what would best fit into your plans.

I think the warrior is just fine as a city police. We rather need a major economic facelift, then we upgrade our troops with money. We need economy now, not wasting hammers.

The settler's move is under control of the Chieftain, or the DP if no instructions are given. We can ensure its use by the simple expedient of not having another settler available.

I will make a complete military review, and then ask what I want from each city.
Then again, this is pending losses in the German War. I rather see workers, as I said, and your, Methos, support for Serfdom in the Labor Civics poll.

Given the Eastern Aimag is the smallest, I suggest to my fellow members of the Khural that captured German cities should be added to this Aimag, for now.

For Military: I think it would be best to build (hammer) expensive units, as it's cheaper to have a few good units than a lot of weaker units.

This is actually where I support the banking crowd. I have better experiences in building cheaper "hammer" units, promote them in simple wars, and upgrade them with gold, and save the hammers for important building projects.

Keshik is for the price in hammers an excellent unit, and does this to perfection, remember the Germans and Romans are way inferior in military technology, so Keshiks bring us a long way. However, in 15-20 turns, then we need to move over to knights.

So I look forward to Guilds and Banking now, they fit nicely into such a strategy.

Well, IMO Macemen (and all other melee units) are generally better for offensive war than Keshiks (mounted units). Some Keshiks are good for their speed though.

We are to use Keshiks for pillaging and flanking, as well as scouting.

I think we need three more missionaries, a couple of catapults (about 3/4), a Forbidden Palace (Munich), 2/3 galleys near Paris (probably built in Paris too) and a lot of banks/grocers/markets. Could the governors divide these builds between the Aimags?

I haven't yet looked at my aimag yet, but I know my cities are primarily science/commerce cities, so fast banks are the most important builds compared to missionaries. Granted, we need those missionaries too.

We definitely need the FP built and soon! That would greatly help our economy out. Would Munich be the best place? I'd prefer it in the north since we plan on controlling this continent. A northern placement would benefit us the most. I do recall Munich being in the north, but I also seem to recall it being more easterly.

I would put my chips on Berlin, a more natural choice, and it already got two wonders.

Either way, I want Heroic Epic up there prior to the Roman War.

Forbidden Palace is something I feel should be build, or started, this upcoming TC. Looks like we need a discussion on it.

I already pointed to Berlin, a natural northern capital.

Coppertown could alternate builds between Confucian missionaries and catapults.

If need be, maybe even Marseilles could even chip in.

For your Aimag, I thought NotA might be able to chip in some missionaries/military units. Also, if we're going to declare on Julius, you should think what to do with the workboat.

My Aimag will mostly concentrate on building banks and other infrastructure.

I think we should not wage war with Julius quite yet, but rather build infrastructure and finish Germany off.

A new thread is being opened to try to arrange the Aimags before the next nominations begin.

With the peace treaty get we optics from Bismarck, then we get caravels against the roman ships.

IIRC we need optics for caravels, not compass

A vote of the Khural is in progress, in this thread on redrawing Aimag boundaries (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?p=5714311#post5714311).
