Currently the score doesn't measure the strength of an empire, for example, a state may have build a good number of wonders, and have a high score, population, and land, but be lacking in military, and economy, a country right next to it that does have those things could over run them because of these, and I'd say that strength is a better measure of overall strength.

Like in the real world, a countrys over all strength should be measured in four catagories.

economic strength
cultural strength
technological strength
and militaristic strength

They are measured pretty much like that - in culture, power, :food:, :hammers: and :gold:, under demographics.

Also, although this has been discussed over and over again, I find the score system too rewarding for early conquest victories. managing an empire (maby even peacefully) for 6000 years sure is harder than wiping out the enemies with hordes of Quechas, yet a time victory is worth zero bugs and grants you the title of DanQuayle, while the domi and conq. victories are popular because they give lots of points and end the game early, resulting in a higher score. That sucks.
