Hi all, first time poster long time lurker.

Looking on the Beyond the Sword website and I'm a bit surprised - all the new leaders are nicely animated and looking either aggressive, happy or annoyed except Justinian! He looks like he's either stoned or coming down really badly - look at his eyes! :lol:

anyway, apart from that BTS looks great! Shame that the WWII scenario uses the country names instead of the leaders and that no information on Colonies has been disclosed (or have I missed it) - but all good.

I assume a lot of people are happy now that Poland is in the WWII scenario, will this quell the boring posts that seem to drown this forum - probably not ;)

i wish they would include such a feature in the epic game as well (i hate the leader names).

I spose it's because I remember in the 'unite china' scenario in Warlords, the factions are depicted by flags - there is something about seeing an animated leader acting aggresive that makes me feel inclined to interact with them. When I want to do a deal with Germany we'll probably end up with just a large (and probably inaccurate) flag pop up that we need to talk to... Just doesn't feel right - but that's probably just me - and I admit i'm being picky :)

Apart from that, I'm glad the scenario looks more like the one I lost my youth to on CivII :)

Except for Boudica and Joao ;) Boudica's hot and Joao looks like a gangster :)

When I first watched the animated Justinian leader head, I wasn't even sure if it was animated or not. Hopefully this dull animation is just his "cautious" mood, and his "friendly, pleased, annoyed, and furious" faces are a little more interesting.

He has his Bling and has that cool hat with the santa suit... Fine maybe he is a little weird...

He also lacks that fierce gangster killer look. His look is more the look like "Why am I even here?" Which really ought to be Charlemagne's expression, don't you think? :p

Well, I must agree that most leaders seem quite ugly. Well, not Boudica :)

Yeah, Justinian is white as a vampire and got a ridiculous crown. Ok, i suppose the crown is historically accurate, but he's still ugly.
