2) Cool new diverse scenarios!
3) A very detail espaniage system!
4) Visible trade routes and the abilty to stop them!
5) Corporations that add new depth to the modern age
6) An upgraded air combat system!
7) So many new civs and leaders!
8) New wonders.
9) The chance to win a diplomatic victory much earlier and the abilty to defy
resolutions!
10) Random events that make each game different from each other!
PS 11) And so much more! :)

1 - Big improvement to the tech tree especially late game
2 - Space race will be awesome especially with spies stuffing things up
3 - The ability to be a rogue state by defyiny resolutions - religious and UN.
4 - A system of colonialism means no shitty little island tundra outposts costing lots for a resource.
5 - Spies and complex espionage
6 - no more "Rub, Rub, Rub, three orcs in a tub" title song from Warlords
7 - Those new Random events to spice things up.
8 - Smart AI
9 - All the little improvements too many to mention such as Civic balance changes, corporations, better graphics, civs, leaders... ARRGHHH!!!
10 - An end to the withdrawl symptoms

2. Corps will be a very nice addition, allowing for many different strategies (see my thread 'Corporation Strategies')
3. The Apostolic Palace should give nice early strategic options
4. Random events will make each game feel unique
5. Most of the scenarios look cool. My favorite will probably be Rhye's one and also Fall From Heaven, but I'll love Next War too !
6. The trade routes will be handled better (blockades !!)
7. Colonies should help lessen the micromanagement
8. Many nice new civs and new leaders (and nice UUs / UBs !) !!
9. The Air and Naval Warfare will be handled much better !
10. The balance has been improved (Cavalry rush and siege weapons will be less dominant options, protective will be a stronger trait, and so on...)

4. A dynamic Random Event system increases the feeling of creating history
5. Alternatively, 'own' civs can easier be 'made by combining leaders and civs
6. ... And there is many new civs and leaderheads
7. New impressive Scenarios
8. Interface overhaul (With ethnical units)
9. Spaceship customization
10. GILGAMESH ROCKS!!!
11. Colonies sounds like a dream-like element ;)
12. New improved AI, making me want to go over Noble (I don't play higher because then they're cheating)

All of the above reasons pretty much apply to me as well! :D
Oh, and I'd buy it even if it was a lot less, but still included the Netherlands.. Can't blame a Dutchman for being excited about that! Spreading the word of tolerance, love, understanding, liberalism and relaxation in Civ IV.. ;)

Perhaps one the futuristic scenarios or techs will have a time machine, thereby letting you go back in time to today, give you the time travelling device, and then move forward into time by one month, just in time to buy BtS... yesss... it just might work. :lol:

6) Mine network of spies!-- evil dictator paradise
7) Super-sexy Suryanvaman just rocks my world
8) MP rounds with two Roman emperors
9) Ethnically diverse units/buildings... it isn't a small world after all
10) I've been seriously way too bored with Warlords to bother playing anymore since hearing about BtS
