Does FfH play online very well? If so I would like to play someone...
I am a bit new at this so I will probably be beaten if you are any good.
I have the latest version of the patch.
Anyone want to play me?

FFH2 doesn't play well with pitboss but maybe that will change with BtS.
HOWEVER it does play as well as any other civ4 game online with hamachi. See the multiplayer game thread first few posts for all the important details on channels, times?, passwords, and how to set up hamachi etc.

I installed Hamachi, and I am on. Is there anyone who is willing to play a game with me?

Incidentally, I think I'll be available for a game tonight, and I need to make sure I've worked out any bugs in my firewall setup that might obstruct an FFH game.

Good luck. Civ4 is a tricky beast for the multiplayer "firewall" troubleshooting. I would recommend you enable UPnP on your router/firewall if you can. That seems to make the difference. That will ensure Hamachi will open tunnels if people initiate the connection to you. This way it there is no Civ4 specific stuff that needs to be changed on your firewall, as Hamachi encapsulates (wraps in a package) all the Civ4 stuff.
Clear enough? Let me know if you want more details.

I'm on with Bill and we're testing MP. We've had some luck and some problems as well. Anyone else that's interested (particularly that has experience with MP and Hamachi) is invited to join us.

Remember there's a 2 or 3 channels in Hamachi that players hang out in so you really need to check all of them.
