"Rifle just means that the interior of the launcher is "rifled"; i.e that it has grooves inside it that spiral, to spin the projectile, which allows it to balance better on its trajectory, and gain more velocity.

Rifling wasn't even originally for that purpose, it was an effort to clear the rest of the powder out of the bore before the gun was reloaded.

FYI I'm currently passing my motorcycle driving licence and since I'm a huge steak they have no jackets of my size and you have to wear one otherwise you can't drive at all (assurances and all). So I've found this one at a bargain price of only 49€ instead of 89€. Its very comfortable (Size XXL, also its great because it is a summer jacket), it doesn't really show on the picture but it does have reinforced pads on the elbows, shoulders and the back.

Oh I am fully aware it was only a training weapon. I don't think the military would be stupid enough to put out live weapons even with the ammo removed and allowed to be handled by civilians all day. The real ones were of course under lock and key in the armory. My brother actually fired a live one for training just the other day. All the weapons I handled all that day were all stuff that was withdrawn from frontline combat
