This question is for HOF players only please.

We're trying to assess which operating systems are being used and in what proportion by Hall of Fame mod users. It could prove very useful in future versions of the HOF Mod.

Of other interest to us is how well is the mod running under Vista, so those users are asked to post their experiences thus far.

I use XP right now, mainly because I don't have a computer capable of running Vista. I can get it for free through my school once I do though, so I may be switching computers after Christmas :D

My system is currently setup for dual boot for both Vista and XP. Although Civ4 is running fine on Vista, it seems to get slower on bigger map than XP. Also, some older games (such as Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth) don't work on Vista.

Btw, if you already have XP installed, it's pretty easy to install Vista to dual boot it with XP. However, if you installed Vista first, it's tricky to configure XP. If anyone wants to configure for dual boots, I can help.

Since I dont really play HOF, I didnt vote (nor bother to edit the vote to include Server 2003 )

I'm using XP (on a laptop). Had the option of upgrading to Vista but heard of many compatability issues (similar to what Moonsinger said) with games so stayed put.

So your saying smaller to standard maps your submissions are with Vista and anything larger is with XP? Man, you really pick your settings! :D

No, it wasn't like that. If I'm already doing something on Vista, I play Civ4 on Vista. I'm too lazy to reboot to XP. Therefore, most quick games are on Vista.

I'm exclusively Vista...wouldn't run on the 4MB RAM on the Windows 3.1 machine...Brings back memories of when my 4x CD-ROM couldn't read an 8x disc.
