When the starting game reaches the take 2 screen, just left click 3 or 4 times and you bypass everything right through to game setup. ShredZ Jul 06, 2007, 08:38 PM These are the settings I like. Found in the .ini file here: C:\Documents and Settings\ShredZ\My Documents\My Games\Civilization IV ; Specify whether to play in fullscreen mode 0/1/ask FullScreen = 1 ; Set to 1 for no tech splash screens NoTechSplash = 0 ; Set to 1 for no in-game movies NoMovies = 0 No fullscreen means you can easily minimize and not bother with alt-tab No tech splash means you dont see the info when you research No movies means theres no intro and no wonder movies Happy gaming. narmox Jul 07, 2007, 03:03 AM Even better than ShredZ's reply, look for this in the CivilizationIV.ini: ; Set to 1 for no intro movie NoIntroMovie = 1 Set it to 1 (like I did) to skip the intro movie but keep the in-game movies. Da_V_Man Jul 08, 2007, 04:44 PM There is a 'no movies' option in the options menu under graphics IIRC. Or press the escape button on your keyboard. It skips the intro movies. |
