I am gonig to get BTS and that will include warlord epic features, however, I have a question about the great wall, where do it build, does it build on your borders, or where. Thanks in advance.

It is built in a city, but wraps around your cultural borders graphically on the map, and prevents barbarians from entering. It also provides +50% great general XP for combat taking place inside your borders.

Quite useful, especially for isolated starts. Keeps those pesky barbs at bay.

Even though the graphic stays in place and might not wrap around all your cities if you cultural border is discontinuous, the effect is present in all your cultural border area. Also give GE points in the city it is built.

And the wall does not, shift? Is it a good idea to have a rush culture grab just before then?

The wall graphic doesn't move but the effect does move with culture (IIRC).

The effect does move with the culture, so no need to worry about expanding borders etc. The graphics don't mean nuffin', bro.

Yeah, I've seen the GW wrap around 1 city. If the graphic was what was important, ouch.

BTW, I recall seeing a screenshot where the GW was built around 9 squares of a barbarian city.

I have to say I'm wondering about BTS including Warlords' Epic features.

I know Warlords didn't add a great deal, but will BTS really include the wonders, leaders and civilisations (or those civs not included in BTS by way of a new leader, i.e. Suleiman and Boudicca)?

I had thought that by Epic features it would mean the game fixes, as opposed to units and wonders. It seems odd to me that Firaxis should essentially undermine their own product by including all of Warlords save the scenarios in BTS.

I think it makes sense. They want to make BtS as good as possible. If a person hasn't bought warlords yet they aren't so likely to do so once BtS comes out anyway and people might be  if they bought BtS and could no longer use a unit or wonder they liked. It does undermine warlords but I don't think they would have sold so many more copies of warlords either way.
