Hi I hope your game is progressing as you had hoped. I am the new Foreign Minister for CFC. We have been thinking about this idea for some time and we are curious if you would like to start a 3 team tech alliance. In this alliance we would share all techs we currently have and we would co-ordinate in research directions to further all of our civs advancement. We would like to form a three way tech alliance with BAT and CBR being the other members. If you look at the game, you will see that the 3 of us are being left behind technology wise. I have sent a similar email to the other team and will let you know their decision. This technology alliance is for technology exchange only, we can discuss military protection and joint military ventures at a later time. We are not currently interested in military ventures at this time since we are currently involved with one at this moment. Please contact me via this email address so we can discuss this further.

CBR emails are quite weird, from what i can tell they don't actually have a team e-mail (not surprising as their team only lists 3 members) but the CBR e-mail we have is sent to the user 'demarchi', we also have the e-mail to galahadba (ange....). It might be worth sending to both as galahad seems a lot more able at diplomacy etc.

I thought rob you'd sent a letter of response?

uhhh...I didnt know they accept the tech alliance...if they did then send them everything we have for everything they have.

Have we told them we are planning to offer peace to GCA?

I sent an email last turn asking what they thought about the war and whether we should open up communications about peace with GCA, no word back.

The alliance with CBR is about the only thing we have going for us so lets try and keep that intact. Besides there is no point in us being misserable by ourselves. So I sent this (to both of them) and will follow up after their next turn.

How is the war going for you? Our offensives have failed. We have been unable to make any headway against GCA. Unless you have something big planned we think it is time to try a different approach. We want to try and end the war. We want to do so together because I’m sure we can get better terms and because we want to keep our close cooperation with your team.

They're trading with BAT for feud, we should probably stop them as we have no such conditions on our end in regards to the trade.

I thought we had set up a three way trade alliance CFC-BAT-CBR. All techs given freely within the alliance.

EDIT: My mistake, BAT never accepted the tech alliance.

I just realized that BAT has already agreed to trade Feudalism to us for Machenery. That will be in 12 turns but we may just try and get it right away by offering them Philosophy instead. In any caes when we get it we’ll be passing it along to you so no need to trade anything to BAT for it.

@ Ordinaryguy GCA specifically said they don't want it as part of a peace treaty so they at least are close to it through trade or research.

Talked with Antonio to day. I forgot to copy the chat but CBR might rather die than surrender to GCA. Unfortunatly GCA would have little trouble granting that wish. A GCA caravel sank CBR's galley last turn. GCA caravels move twice as fast as our galleys and are 50% tougher. Warfare is not a serious option any longer.

It may be time to take a big bite of crow pie.
