The Live chat would make the disscussion more personal and responce more immediate.
However, not all candidents will be able to attend one time, and not all questioners. Also this will reduce the problem of having to shift through a chat log, and we can use the Inqusition thread already started by Shatian.

I voted no.
#1 reason - time zones. A canidate's chat might be at 24:00 GMT, but that would mean early in the morning for most Europeans, and around dinner time or school/college/work for us in North America. That's probably another reason not too many people attend the turn chats.
Plus, if Canidate A lives in Colorado, and is chating at 8 their time (3:00 GTM), that's very early for Europeans, and they'd have to sift through chat logs, and wouldn't be able to ask questions. The same goes for the other way around. A 7 PM time in GMT (19:00 hours) would be 2 PM here. Which is school/worktime for most of us. Luckily, summer vacation is just around the corner, but some of us work, or take summer courses.

I voted 'other'.
Why can't we do both?

In essence "Yes" is "Both"
This is a vote to "add" the live debate, note to eliminate the old Forum discussion.

I voted Abstain/Other, because I have an idea:
Why don't we have more then one debate chat say at 3 differant times for then everyone could atleast make one.
