View Full Version : MP PBEM/Internet game bugs...

My brother (slydog3333) and I started a Hotseat game and then continued it through pbem. Now we continue it as an Internet game.

When playing live as an Internet game we have a lot of bugs. For example, we can't contact any AI civs we've already met. Also, we have to manually select each active unit each turn instead of the game switching automatically after each unit's moved.

When we switch back to pbem everything works fine, but all of our previous attempts during the Internet game to contact AI all of a sudden play themselves out.

Any ideas on this?

There's also no pop ups for when we discover a technology or we get a new religion or civic option. Also the end of turn button always stays green - going along with having to manually select units.

This is a known issue as far as taking a PBEM game and bringing it up as a pitboss game - since you're seeing virtually the exact same symptoms, I'd expect it's a wider problem of switching between one multiplayer 'mode' and another.

But is there a way to fix it? I think I remember reading somewhere in the manual that you can change the code for just about everything in the game. While I have very little programming experience, is there some simple way to quickly change a setting and allow it to work the same between all MP modes? Or is there an other way/fix to accomplish the same?
