Niklas Oct 16, 2007, 03:42 PM Team Smurkz should finish before the deadline, or else we don't deserve any credit. :whipped: unkle Oct 16, 2007, 04:03 PM In fact, Niklas is handling the whip so he won't deserve any credit.... :mischief: . . . . . Please Niklas, don't :trouble: !!!! BLubmuz Oct 16, 2007, 05:19 PM hey, hey, hey a deadline and not a sign-up thread? shame  c'mon, i wanna be the victim of the next Mad-Viking's invention. useless to say :joke: still ... markh Oct 17, 2007, 03:47 AM Well, we are playing according to our name (although we kept our 24h/48h rule quite well, we are just hanging in this too long). :) Old and slow. I doubt we will be able to finish before the 31st, but no request for an extension from the Geezers as we won't get an award anyway. We will up the turns per set to try finishing before the deadline, though. peter grimes Oct 19, 2007, 06:32 AM MacTeam is trying to speed through to the end by the deadline... if only to grab the Wooden Spoon :p AlanH Oct 19, 2007, 07:00 AM c'mon, i wanna be the victim of the next Mad-Viking's invention The "Mad Viking" (not the forum member of that name) is out of town. I can 't open a sign-up thread without a game to describe, so we're in a holding pattern until Gyathaar gets back or we run out of fuel.. Harbourboy Oct 20, 2007, 02:56 AM if only to grab the Wooden Spoon Hey! That Spoon belongs to us! Piko Oct 26, 2007, 03:16 AM Woohoo well the misfits will be putting in a good showing then? :P we will finish on time *wink* Piko Oct 26, 2007, 03:19 AM If previous SGOTMs are an indication, you will be able to submit new saves after the deadline. However, teams that are not finished by the deadline will not be eligible for any awards. Oh cmon, they have to be able to win the wooden spoon still  Harbourboy Oct 31, 2007, 11:50 AM When is the next game then? Thrallia Oct 31, 2007, 02:49 PM we won't know until Gyathaar gets back from wherever he is and creates some insane scenario for us to have a go at. AlanH Oct 31, 2007, 04:22 PM To be more specific about the deadline ... let's add a day to cope with the US preoccupation with Halloween, plus the BtS installer upsets, and I'll use the normal International Date Line definition of midnight as per GOTMs. So we'll close the shutters on this game at approximately noon GMT on November 2nd, in about 38 hours from the timestamp on this post. Harbourboy Oct 31, 2007, 11:36 PM Without putting too much pressure on our wonderful staff, but we are keen for the next one (we're gluttons for punishment). da_Vinci Nov 01, 2007, 09:41 AM To be more specific about the deadline ... let's add a day to cope with the US preoccupation with Halloween, plus the BtS installer upsets, and I'll use the normal International Date Line definition of midnight as per GOTMs. So we'll close the shutters on this game at approximately noon GMT on November 2nd, in about 26 hours from the timestamp on this post. The time stamp displayed to me after adjusting for time zones says 5:22 PM US eastern daylight, on Oct 31. The about 26 hours would be 7 ish on Nov 1, but you stated Nov 2, so not sure what you mean ... My guess is you mean midnight that starts Nov 2 at the dateline, which would be ... maybe 36 hours from the time stamp of the post? (moving it to about 6 AM eastern daylight on Nov 2) Just want to be sure ... dV AlanH Nov 01, 2007, 12:31 PM You're quite right - I only counted to midnight, not non, and missed off 12 hours. Edited and corrected. LowtherCastle Nov 01, 2007, 07:17 PM According to the rules: The Wooden Spoon is awarded to the members of the team that achieve the lowest Final Score. What score is that based on? I was wondering, because from teh looks of the score graph, CFR will win the Gold and the Wooden laurels... AlanH Nov 01, 2007, 07:27 PM Final score as awarded by the game. You can't see the final uploads until the game ends in 12 hours time. AlanH Nov 02, 2007, 10:42 AM I've posted the Results and Congratulations thread here Ronnie1 Nov 25, 2007, 03:42 PM Are we any closer to the next succession game in any format? AlanH Nov 25, 2007, 03:47 PM Getting closer ... Waiting for our map designer ... I've asked for a Warlords map, and so far I have: prince, always war, any victory condition allowed, epic, normal size All subject to change, of course :) Ozbenno Nov 25, 2007, 04:55 PM That sounds a great scenario Alan! Can't wait. Lexad Nov 26, 2007, 06:37 AM Sounds fun BLubmuz Nov 29, 2007, 11:21 AM Getting closer ... Waiting for our map designer ... I've asked for a Warlords map, and so far I have: prince, always war, any victory condition allowed, epic, normal size All subject to change, of course :)Hi Alan I'm asking this because it's almost 1 month SG5 is closed. What about start a subscription thread with only the above infos, and when the game will be ready just edit it with the complete infos. Sorry for bother, but i suppose this is the feeling of a lot of other players. For sure all the 3.13 problems are solved now. I'm expecting a 3.xx few days after the new game will start :) :( AlanH Nov 29, 2007, 12:16 PM OK, you win. I'll get the sign-up thread up in the next 24 hours. Sweetacshon Nov 29, 2007, 06:45 PM Hooray! Thanks, staff. Looks like we nagged you into it, again. :) Ronnie1 Nov 30, 2007, 02:16 PM Not to be overly impatient, but it has been more than 24 hours! AlanH Nov 30, 2007, 03:04 PM Picky! Patience! AlanH Nov 30, 2007, 03:59 PM Sign-up thread for Warlords SGOTM 06 is now open ... (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=252883) |
