MaxRiga Jul 22, 2007, 06:45 PM I am ready to pay you if you will convert my mod ( MaxRigaMod (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=166535) ) for BTS.
The price i'm rdy to pay is $100 USD. Any interests?
GeneralMatt Jul 22, 2007, 10:34 PM  You are serious right?
I guess it would be a lot of work, but $100 bucks? Must be nice having that kinda money. :p
[EC]Eternal Jul 22, 2007, 11:09 PM hey max if i had any modding skills i would for sure i remeber playing ur mod with u back in the civ4 days very fun....
ohcrapitsnico Jul 22, 2007, 11:56 PM You realize that with the modding guide and the bts xml convertor both by kael, that modding is a bit easier. Also the same thing will happen again when more patches come out.:p
:cringe: Man I am not looking forward to that day for my mod's sake...
asioasioasio Jul 23, 2007, 05:34 AM Also the same thing will happen again when more patches come out.:p
I hate patches :)
MaxRiga Jul 23, 2007, 10:39 AM I hate patches :)
yes man, this is so gay to change mods on new patches/addon. by the way, what will u do with ur mod? u gonna leave it for warlords or refix it for bts?

so, use his modding guide and get ur hundred! ;)
asioasioasio Jul 23, 2007, 04:11 PM I make next update for warlords (i already started doing this) and after i transfer it to bts
Harewood Jul 23, 2007, 11:27 PM my personal reaction to this is that it is a scam lol but i guess that's just my trust in people online in general showing through :)
Maniac Jul 23, 2007, 11:41 PM Man that money would be easily earned. :(

Noo way. I would rather keep my sanity than lose it for a $100.
dh_epic Jul 25, 2007, 10:54 AM Yeah. Trying to make a mod compatible with a new XP is really tedious, boring, and complicated work. I actually trust the offer, but the work is hard.
MaxRiga Jul 25, 2007, 02:51 PM guys, I really rdy to pay this money for converting the mod since I want to keep working on in in BTS. $100 will get the first one who will finish faster his converting. I will send money on ur bank account and post the screen of bank transfer right away or I can send money by check. What ever will be more convenient for you.
MaxRiga Jul 26, 2007, 01:50 PM the offer is still actual
MaxRiga Jul 27, 2007, 04:35 PM that's it? noone wants $100 ? :)))

:)
I have been trying to convert my mod which all I have done with it is have 26 completely new civs and leaders and a tech tree. Thats it. I have been through hell to convert just that even after creating a functioning 26 civ dll and I still have gone no where.
Teg_Navanis Jul 28, 2007, 03:55 AM I had a quick look at the feasability of your request. Are all 47 XML files in your mod actually modded? If yes, the workload is massive, especially since your mod is entirely uncommented. Before being able to convert your modifications to BtS, one would have to find out what values you actually changed, which I imagine would be quite tedious. Even worse, you have included a custom CvGameCoreDLL, but not the actual source code. Nobody's gonna be able to recreate your changes there... ;)

The most important stuff is to convert units, buildings and leaders. Sure I'm going to help during the converting.
CvGame dll is useful for BTS because it was made by Dale for cruise missiles. We don't need this DLL in BTS any more.
Teg_Navanis Jul 29, 2007, 07:54 AM I wrote some nifty scripts to convert large parts of your mod to BtS. I've done units, techs, buildings, civilizations and leaderheads. Sadly, there were dozens of changes that the script wasn't able to cope with and which I had to correct by hand.
Anyway, I somehow managed to remove all bugs one by one and load the game - yay!
You wanna have a look?
1. Step:Download this (http://forums.civfanatics.com/uploads/81346/MaxRiga.zip).
2. Step: Open CivilizationIV.ini (the BtS one) and change ModularLoading to 1.
3. Step: Take MaxRigaMod5.3 (vanilla) and move it to the Bts/Mods folder.
4. Step: Delete CvGameCoreDLL, and the folders python and XML
5. Step: Move the Modules folder you downloaded into the Assets folder (hierarchy should be BtS/Mods/MaxRiga/Assets/Modules
6. Start the mod and enjoy :)
Some parts will still be missing (for example CIV4DiplomacyInfos, some of the playercolors), and I hence expect the game to break quite easily, but the major part seems to be done.
Teg_Navanis Jul 29, 2007, 09:01 AM I just noticed that the tech tree is broken. To fix it, do the following:
1. remove MaxRiga_CIV4TechInfos.xml
2. remove MaxRiga_CIV4TechnologiesSchema.xml
3. install these files (http://forums.civfanatics.com/uploads/81346/XML.zip) into the mod/assets folder.
I just noticed that some of the units/buildings can't be built, although they are accessible from the world builder. I'll have a look at what's causing this.
Edit: The cost of the warrior is set to -1, so I guess you don't want him to be built :)
MaxRiga Jul 29, 2007, 02:53 PM hey, great news we have there :))
i'm going to try install what u've made ( really hope to check it today but terribly busy )
any way, all buildings are build able but not the units ( u can't build warriors and settlers )
please, PM me ur coordinates and i'll send u check right away you finish ur converting ;)
Teg_Navanis Jul 29, 2007, 04:11 PM I went through the rest of your files and added the rest of the changes I could see (cosmodrom, spacecentre, invisible types, flag colors). With that, I *think* everything is converted. You will have to decide for yourself what you want to do with the new attributes, which are now all set to a default value. I guess you will want to use some of them, but this is again part of a creative process and not my business.
I had to take out the unit Gotha_G (no art). Also, France had "Charbis" defined as a unique unit, which does not exist in the UnitInfo file. I also took it out. All other cross-references I temporarily took out should be in again. I think there are still some missing game texts, but since I haven't changed anything there, this must already have been the case in the vanilla mod.
