It looks like the majority of us North Americans well have to wait at least until tomorrow. I really hope I can get the game tomorrow instead of Wednesday. The fact that a good chunk of the world already has had the game for several days makes things even harder.

nobody should have it today, the 23rd is the ship date Actually, in my experience, software is usually available on the day of the announced "ship date" in some stores if you've preordered. But it this case you appear to be correct; none of the local stores I've checked with have it yet.

Well, doing more research on the game I am rather disappointed that the cover and some of the media clearly shows mech units (I always wanted mech units in the very late game) but apparently there aren't any in the normal game :(

They're in there. The Next War scenario can also be loaded as a mod, which tacks the mechs and other scifi units into the late game portion of the epic game.

Nowhere in my town will have it until the 25th of July. The nearest store that would carry it is 100 miles away.

Guess I'll be playing it on Wednesday evening!

So it is not just me.. :lol: The places nearest me I have picked up games (Walmart, Staples, The Source from Circuit City) noe have as of today. So I am uo at 900 or whenever they open to phone and see if one of them has it. Unfortunately I cannot just go and look, to far away.. :(

Same for me. For every other game I have been really physced to get on day one (BF2, Advance Wars 2 & DS, The Burning Crusade, to name a few) I was able to buy it that day.

This is disappointing, but I can live with it :p

Good to know there are fellow CivFanatics in Wisconsin! LOL Even in my dinky town of Platteville (during the summer I'm one of the few college students left behind and thus it goes from 9,989 to... 2,000ish) someone else was harassing the local Wal-Mart about it!

I'm calling first before I go! I'll be checking Madison, WI; Janesville, WI; Rockford; IL; Dubuque, IA; Platteville, WI; and maybe close to Milwaukee also.

Columbus Ohio was skipped by the delivery man too. Best Buy told me today to try back in a month, their warehouse had not recieved it yet! Crazy, just Crazy!
