Hi..........I thought I saw somewhere the the BTS game had both patches for warlords and Civ4 Vanilla. I installed them got the D3dx9_32.dll error . By purchasing the BTS game will it have this error corrected or will I still have to download the new version of DirectX 9.0c from Mircosoft....Problem is that I still am in the stone age....Dail-up....  ...thanks

My understanding is that BtS has the latest version of the DirectX 9.0c redistributable on the disc.

I had not experienced this error until i installed BTS. The direct x would not install as it didn't have the XP signature on the file. I had to download directly from microsoft to get BTS to work.

I had the same problem, but simply because I installed MS Vista on my newly built PC, which included DirectX10. Some games still want the old DirectX9 libraries, which you can download directly from the internet. Just google the error message and you'll get the missing dll's.

i ran into this issue with the final frontier demo

go there and download the latest Direct X installer, very small, and let it update.
the "latest" version of directX is from july 10, 2007. On my updated XP machine, it was only like a 4MB download from within the directX installer, so you shouldnt have an issue using dial-up
