I swear in every game I play with him he sucks majorly in techs unti like 1700 A.D. It happens every game....he is always way behind me in techs until the beginning of the industrial age and then he like explodes with research. He is always the most advanced civ after the insudtrial age. I play with him on Nobel but yeah I don't understand why he just comes out of nowwhere in the industrial age.

Simple solution: destroy him before the Industrial Age. ;)
