Simply put, the purpose of this thread is the suggestion of various deranged, stupid or incompetent leaders.

Hey, if the Comuneros had have gotten Juana la Loca to sign on as figurehead in a Castillian constitutional monarchy, history might well look quite different than today.

Not that this has anything to do with the question, but still. I'm not one to pass up a chance to mention the Comuneros!

Wasnt Carlos II the mad mad son of Phillip II?

No, son of Philip IV, owner of the well know Habsburgian chin. Philip II was his great-grandfather. Incidently Carlos II was descended from Juana in 12 different ways as the Habsburgers liked inbreeding.

Which is why Carlos II was a mad mad prince

Why should spain have more leaders? Isabela is just fine.

Personally I think Manuel from Fawlty Towers would be a much better choice.

I've mentioned him before, but my favorite would be Sancho I "the Fat" of León (956-66), who was deposed because he couldn't sit on a horse. He had to flee to Muslim Cordoba for a diet before he could return to retake the throne.
