Would be interesting to see what kind of maps they produce. Schoszarzek Jul 26, 2007, 09:12 AM Even though it can be really crazy, I just love Fractal maps :) Schoszarzek Jul 26, 2007, 09:15 AM Could someone post screenshots of the new maps? Would be interesting to see what kind of maps they produce. *warning double-post* :mischief: But anyone who has too much time on their hands, could you take a screenshot of the minimap on a fully explored (there's cheats, right?) map of every type and share with everyone? I'm asking here :) To be honest I don't know what half of them look like, the description gives you a general idea but hey I never dare try something that sounds weird, I always go with Fractal :P Anyone up for the task? :D Would be great to learn who they all look, generally. Thorburne Jul 26, 2007, 09:31 AM I still don't like the map scripts. I tried Big and Small and didn't like it too much. I then tried Hemispheres and after a couple attempts, found one that would do... but I still spent several hours editing it to be the way I wanted. I had to shape the continents how I wanted, move the Civ's around, and redistribute the resources. I do all of this because I prefer Psuedo Earth-like formations (with continents of varying sizes and islands throughout), Culturally correct Civ starts (Greeks, by Romans, China near Japan, etc) and strategically placed resources (No horses in the Americas). |
