Question: During espionage missions I used to see something that puts your culture into a Civ's city. What exactly does this do? Does it shrink back their borders a bit?

Also, when I wanted to experiment with it and try it, I noticed that the mission was no longer available? Does it disappear after discovering a certain tech? I'm not sure if other missions disappeared as well.

Another thing, the Aposilistic Palace (however you spell it)... what the heck does this do? lol I created it and every couple of turns all I would get out of it was to vote for a new leader of it. Ummm... yeah, great. Where are the holy wars and things like that? I'm very sure there's an explanation to it and that I did something wrong or "wasn't" doing something... I'm just curious that's all. So, when creating this, what should you do to benefit most from it?

Also, I play on Epic, and the foster unhappiness and poison water missions aren't really that damaging at all (from my experiences so far). I had a size 12 city that the AI was trifling with every now and then poisoning the water and I never lost a population point.

The AI also seems to favor poisoning water (it seems).

Some would say that the unhappiness one is more powerful, but at least with that one you can increase your cultural slider for a bit to counter the few turns where the unhappiness is severely increased. That, and also happiness is easier to come by then healthiness earlier on with things like Hereditary Rule and stuff. With poisoned water, you can't really do anything.
