So I tried the Road to War scenario and chose to play as the United Kingdom. What really disappointed me was that their cities in England don't have access to oil so they can't produce any tanks, ships, or aircraft.

The only English cities that had access to oil were the cities in Africa and the Middle East. I couldn't find a way for that oil to transfer over to the other cities. I tried building air bases in the cities in Africa, but that didn't work. The scenario also doesn't allow you to negotiate open borders so I couldn't do that either. It really sucks since the cities down there have terrible production compared to the cities in England. Is this an oversight in the scenario or am I doing something wrong?

What disappointed me was Britain's shape, to be honest, and the way the cities were set out on the mainland.

The oil for UK will be fixed in the add-on pack which will come out soon. :)

I built a railway across the Sahara . That allowed me to build stuff in the UK but not in Canada for some reason. BTW Dale, would it be possible for the UK to have a city in Southern Ireland. Seems a shame for that space to go to waste. It could be a neutral city that you could choose to invade. The cost would be a minus diplo with the USA.

Wouldn't it be easy to just mod in a source of oil in England? maybe not realistic, but whatever.

In World War 2? Not likely.

Also the City of Plymouth is to far east-The city SHOULD be either Southampton or Portsmouth

Is this true for France as well? Gave it a go last night and I had an oil with well in the Mid East plus an air base and still couldn't produce any planes or tanks.

And about irrealistic oil resources, I played with Finland, and there was an oil resource in LAPLAND!! Seriously, there is not a single drop of oil in Lapland, or anywhere else in Finnish ground. Ofcourse, it makes playing with Finland very, very much easier, but that oil resource should be moved somewhere to Russia. It would be more realistic to place an Uranium resource some where near the eastern border (there seems to be uranium, but during World War 2 no one had a clue there would be such, so I´m not sure if it would be realistic either). Also the trading system should be improved in the event version.

That really is just being extremely picky!

And to honest, it's actual location on the map probably nearer Bournmouth!
