View Full Version : Afterworld - the end (spoilers)
Thrar Jul 28, 2007, 02:57 PM I have just played most of the Afterworld scenario, and enjoyed it very much.
However, I can't seem to find out how to end it. I sent Sever to activate all the terminals, and he disappeared after the last one, supposedly opening up the way out (or not?).
I moved the other 4 outside, where that big blue entity is, but I didn't find any way to actually get out. Is it normal that the last terminal is still highlighted, or could it be a bug? Where am I supposed to go with the remaining four?

feanor70115 Jul 31, 2007, 04:40 AM Sure...but in my game the "world" seems to shrink unless I save and reload every turn, so that I can only see from the left security terminal to not far past the second beacon. I got Sever to the third beacon by saving and reloading, but in which direction do I move the other four to get to the end of this - I can't even see the big blue entity on the worldbuilder map when I've just reloaded and the whole map is visible.
CloudedSun Jul 31, 2007, 04:50 AM Sorry to ask an obvious question, but did you actually kill the big blue entity? IIRC once you've done that you win the scenario - you don't need to find an exit on the map. Hope that helps.

I just found it hanging around the northwest portion of the final outdoor area at the extreme eastern end of the map.
In more detail, after the remaining 4 members of your team have fought their way through the 3 big rooms full of zombies north of Sever's solo run, you should emerge into a swampy outdoor area on the north side of the map. It's about 8 squares long by 5 high. Get to the end of that, turn to face south-east, advance a bit, and you should spot it. Hope that helps.
BTW, it should show up on worldbuilder.

You have to kill it about 3 or 4 times. It respawns a lot.
The trick to killing it is ranged fire. Make sure all your team members have sufficient move to keep on backing up. You shoot it, then back up. It has a move of 3, so you just need to keep out of that range. Don't end someone's move within 3 squares of it, because it will attack them hand to hand and kill them.
phoulishwan Aug 05, 2007, 10:48 PM Or just take the RFW promos to max and only use units that have it maxxed out to kill the entity. You can out range it's movement which means it doesn't come after you and just stand in the same spots turn after turn unloading all you lasers until you kill the thing. RFW promos and Long Range viewing promos combined make this mod extremely easy.
