Phoenix May 29, 2002, 12:12 PM Well Done!:goodjob:
Does anybody know when term 3 officialy starts - I am guessing on the 1st June.
Duke of Marlbrough May 29, 2002, 12:31 PM Yes. All elections have to close, then the new term will start.
Falcon02 May 29, 2002, 01:58 PM Thanks, everybody.
chiefpaco May 29, 2002, 02:03 PM I'm honoured to once again serve in your army, Falcon.
Phoenix May 30, 2002, 11:11 AM I've been thinking:eek:...
When the nominations were posted only Falcon accepted so there was no runner up. So what happens about the deputy? Does Falcon deccide?
P.S. Thanks for the nomination from Donsig! I didn't have chance to Accept or Decline.
Duke of Marlbrough May 30, 2002, 11:22 AM The current system is for a Deputy to be appointed by Falcon02.
Yes, unfortunatley, last minute nominations don't give people much time to respond. I would hope that any nominations given in the last day or two would have been followed by a PM to that person to let them know of it so they could respond.
disorganizer May 30, 2002, 12:51 PM maybe we should implement a 2 day delay between nominations and elections, where new nominations are not accepted but nominees can still accept/decline.
Phoenix May 30, 2002, 01:23 PM Yes this would seem very sensible. Also the nominated people should be E-Mailed so that they become aware of the fact (I was not aware untill after the thread had closed). Also since we are a democracy would it be more sensible to also vote on a deputy leader seperatly from the main leader (after the main leader had been elected). This is unless there is nobody else who is running for a post, as it this case.
Duke of Marlbrough May 30, 2002, 01:38 PM Normally, the runner-up of a Leader position is made the Deputy. If there is only one candidate then the newly elected Leader appoints a Deputy.
I beleive there is some discussion going on about the possiblity of changing that slighty. Maybe making the Deputy be 'approved' and such.
But, remember, I just drive the car, you guys decide how fast the wheels are spinning and what direction we are going. So, if you want something changed, start a discussion about it (or find the ones that may already be going on about it) and start working on changing things. :)
Falcon02 May 30, 2002, 02:15 PM Those seeking to become the Next Military Deputy please post to the thread of the link below. Thank you.
