Do they just help with the number of angry people, or do they make WW itself go down more quickly? I am getting my ass kicked by WW it's up to over 800 with one Civ and over 900 with its vassal. I don't want to quit until I get a little more territory, but it's such a long time trecking across their lands, even when the cities go down in 1-2 turns. A little more war weariness thouhg, and I'm going to need to up the culture slider to 30 or 40% and that's crazy!

They only affect the # of Angry People (same for Rushmore+Police State, not certain about Zeus)

Yup, they only reduce the + caused by WW. The WW value itself is not affected by Jails.

Get jails+police state+rushmore for -100% from WW. The best way to go in the modern Civ world :goodjob:

You could also try instituting slavery late on in the game and getting rid of those undesirable elements from your society. Or expirement at your will, I find enslaving them and killing off a good portion lowers war weariness due to the lack of population there.

Also, the Opera House wonder will keep WW away wont it?

Opera House ??

do you mean the Globe Theatre? if so, it doesn't have any effect on WW directly, but that city will remain as happy as ever.

With jails/rusmore/police state, I went to war with the owner of the statue of zeus(isabella) who had been a long time ally since the beginning of time, After taking the statue city, and having a big espionage bonus, Towards the end of the war her cities were down to almost nothing, due to war weariness, and mine were all thriving. So to be honest Jails are awsome now, with espionage points, they become among the best buildings.
