I am more than willing to help write conversations for this mod if someone interested would be willing to program it!
What this mod does:
This mod slightly slows down playing a turn of Civ in exchange for better communication with the AI. It does this by having the AI contact you each turn in which their relations change towards you. When they do this, they tell you exactly why they are contacting you, and even offer hints or help to give you advice on how to achieve better diplomacy with them in the future.
Why this mod:
I came up with this idea because there are gads of players (including myself) who cannot possibly keep up with the hundreds of little intracacies to each leader's personality. Because it can be hard to manage relations with the AI, it happens often that one realizes it is too late to create the kind of relationship with a particular leader that one desires.
Benefits:
This mod means you will always keep an eye out on your neighbors and know exactly what is happening in your relationships with them. It will also teach you as you play the game exactly what kind of "people" the different AIs are so that you can learn-as-you-play how to treat them in the future, instead of the current system where you have to memorize tables, etc.
Negatives:
This mod could slow down your game considerably if you usually play quickly. You will spend many turns in a game not just making moves but also talking to the AI. However, when the relations between you and the AI are staying the same, they would not bother you.
