I got Civ 3 Complete a long time ago, when I still had my laptop. Having to turn in the laptop to save money, I forgot to get the first disc out of it - I had left it in for so long. I still own vanilla, and have discs 2 and 3. Is there any way short of buying it again that I can re-install the game to my new computer?

I know it's a long shot...but I figured I'd ask.

If you can provide proof of purchase (discs 2 and 3 might be adequate), you can contact Firaxis and ask them about sending a replacement of Disk One. But you can't re-install the game without Disk One - CivIII needs the information on that disc.

I don't have an email address for that at the time, but I'm sure it's on Firaxis's site.

I had to laugh at leaving CivIII in your laptop forever and then forgetting to take it out when you sold it. I've left CivIII in my computer for months at a time, too - it has dual optical drives so I just use one for other stuff and leave Civ in so I can always play it. I'll have to be careful to make sure I don't leave it at home by mistake when I leave for college!

I just sent them an e-mail, so hopefully I'll hear back..eventually.
