Is there some way to adjust (1) the order in which suggested names come up, and (2) the spelling of a few of those names? For whatever reason, I kind of like playing as Bismarck, and just to be really finicky, I'd like to see Königsberg spelled that way (with the umlaut over the "o")--or for that matter, when its time comes, Düsseldorf. Thanks.

Enter the editor.
Go to the Scenario menu -> Check "Custom Rules"
Go to the Edit menu -> Edit Rules
Click the "Civilizations" tab
Select the civilization who's cities you want to edit
Look for a text box with city names in it.
Do all the modifications you need (the order they will come up in is the order in which they are written there)
Save
Load through "Civ Content".


You can also make it be like this for any game by modding the normal rules file, if you want. :)

Ares... thats just.. thats just to many...

Have you ever actually built that cities Ares? I know in Civ2 I had almost 100 the one time and I am sure others have had more. That is nuts.

It is an impressive list. :thumbsup: So when I overflow it, I noticed, that at least Jülich is doublelisted and the for German history very important city of Regensburg is missing.

A lot of citynames, some of them I have never heard in my life...
But I personaly dislike that Köln and Kiel come after"important" cities like Düren and Recklingshausen. Also Erlangen could be added at this list.. it's not the biggest city but nevertheless bigger than some others on the list...

I added a lot of names higher in the list because of their earlier date of foundation.
