I thought part of playing it was to "discover" what happened to Earth. I researched all the techs and I get some "hints" as to what happened-I guess there was some "mysterious" radiation in the Earth home system.

I've beat the game by building the Ascention Gate and by a Diplomatic Victory and there have been no difinitive answers as to what happened to Earth.

Did I miss something?

I've won conquest, no mention of Earth.

I was dissapointed as well. Played the mod mainly hoping to learn about earths fate. Figured random events and quest would unlock the knowledge, with the actual fate of earth depending on the random events and thus being different with each game.

The answer isn't clear, but when you examine all the hints we can assume the scientist's theories on negative energy lead to something called Project X. This project X in turn did something (possibly) to Earth causing radiation all about.

also: If you want to see for yourself. Then enable all the technologies in world editor and read the captions for capital ship focus, fusion cannon, galactic domination, and orbital engineering, I think..

Personally, I found the answer to be lackluster at best. I found the history of earth to be much more interesting.

Are these hints from the tech quotes or from events? I actually don't recall any random events in Final Frontier.

I found the real hints on the captions you see whenever you discover a tech.

there are no events in Final frontier (the XML file is blank)

I think FF was made with a version of BtS that didn't have events, corporations or many other features from the version of BtS we have now.
