Well its no the final result but Cameroon are the more likely to win at the moment so heres the opportunity to post a thread where Ireland have at least a point. Matt Holland just scored a great equaliser :)

I am quite disappointed by Cameroon. After the lucky goal for Ireland they literally fell apart. As a potential candidate for winning the World Cup they should have been able to more.

In the end they were much closer to winning.

Ireland should have scored again near the end...Well I have my first points in both competitions. I have 1 point for the correct cameroon score in the first competition and I should have 3 points in the Yahoo competition.

Edit: I actually got 5 points from this game :):):) I actually predicted the correct score so I have 6 points overall. Yey!

argentina-nigeria will be sent on cable so i can´t see it anyway. that´s why i´m not watcing germany-saudi arabia now. :(

Matt Holland is not someone known for striking the ball on the edge of the area and then watching it sail into row Z. He has a fine record of scoring in such scenarios. If you want to call it lucky you could say it was bad defending by the Cameroons in clearing the ball.
I suppose Sweden's goal today could also be considered lucky?

While you could say we were unlucky not to win in the end, respectively we were lucky not to be on the plane home at the end of the first half. We still lack Keane, but maybe now we might just creep out of the group.
Germany only played so well because the Saudis played so atrociously, and only scored the first 6 goals due to marking that has no place in this world cup.
So please don't anybody think that they will walk away with the group because they can take advantage of a disgraceful performance like the Saudis gave.
