View Full Version : Germany - Saudia Arabia MrNapoleon Jun 01, 2002, 03:16 AM Folks, bet the result ! MINE : GERMANY - SAUDIA ARABIA 3 : 0 :D Fayadi Jun 01, 2002, 03:21 AM Germany-Saudi Arabia 2:0 Germany vs Saudi Arabia reminds me of the Holy war in 1200's Anyway(out of point) Germany isnt as strong as they are ago in the last decade ,it is almost impossible for them to reach semi curswine Jun 01, 2002, 06:07 AM I'm watching it right now and the score so far is 6-0 so your both wrong and this is one of the worst German teams in a while animepornstar Jun 01, 2002, 06:18 AM seems like the saudi arabian players are a few sizes too short. animepornstar Jun 01, 2002, 06:27 AM 7-0... in a world cup. should not say too much since we have not met argentina yet... philippe Jun 01, 2002, 06:29 AM 8-0!!!!!!!!! ahahahahaha thats the score and the game is now done.... ahahahahahaha!   :goodjob: :king: animepornstar Jun 01, 2002, 06:30 AM when was the last time a team won by eight goals or more in a world cup? willemvanoranje Jun 01, 2002, 06:38 AM Deutschland  8-0 in ya *ss :D:D:D Woohoooooo! Globber Jun 01, 2002, 06:42 AM That was just a bleeding pathetic effort on the Saudi part.... they just handed the group to the Germans... Lucky Jun 01, 2002, 06:43 AM HA!!! I´m surprised myself, but this may be the start to a great tourney, our teams have always been tourney teams. With a good start, we could get far in this WC. :D Hagbart Jun 01, 2002, 06:49 AM I don't think Saudi A is good enough to be in the WC. 0-8! They must be the worst team in the cup. Germany didn't even play that good, but they didn't need to so it doesn't matter. This completely destroyed the topscore list. Hitro Jun 01, 2002, 07:10 AM Wow!!! That was funny. :D "The worst German team ever" just archieve the biggest German victory ever in a World Cup match... animepornstar Jun 01, 2002, 07:42 AM it was a fantastic start of the wc. three, or at least two (i missed ireland- cameroon), great games and now comes this saudi arabian squad and spoiles it. Lightforce Jun 01, 2002, 07:43 AM Originally posted by animepornstar when was the last time a team won by eight goals or more in a world cup? I think one of the BBC commentators said at the end of the match that it was the biggest score in the World Cup for around 20 years, but they still would have had to get two more to beat the current record, which is held by Hungary, I believe (10-1, IIRC). Edit - Just checked the BBC website, and they state that it was the third highest scoreline in the World Cup. The highest was 10-1, when Hungary beat El Salvador in 1982. curswine Jun 01, 2002, 10:11 AM Nope aparantly Saudi Arabia aren't the worst team according to the fifa world rankings the worst team in the tournament is China who are 50th place Saudi Arabia are 34th check out where every other team stands here (http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/en//t/t/rk/wc2002.html) Hitro Jun 01, 2002, 10:16 AM Originally posted by curswine Nope aparantly Saudi Arabia aren't the worst team according to the fifa world rankings the worst team in the tournament is China who are 50th place Saudi Arabia are 34th check out where every other team stands here I think that says more about how senseless these world rankings are. Senegal is 42nd. Therefore 'worse' than Saudi Arabia. But they have beaten France... Lightforce Jun 01, 2002, 01:17 PM The thing is, the FIFA world rankings aren't based on one-off games, although they do slightly affect the ratings of teams. It's all down to the number of points an international team gets, and I think that past performances also count - which would explain why Senegal are so far down, despite being one of the best African teams this year. Dell19 Jun 02, 2002, 01:17 AM Also Saudi Arabia gain points from winning Asian competitions regularily... Lt. 'Killer' M. Jun 02, 2002, 08:22 AM Mwahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!! That one was a show! These suckers for the first time played as they should - spirited! What a pity they were up against an overmatched (though they never gave up!) troop from soccers third world.... I would have liked to see Germany play like that against a better opponent, England or France or Brasil.... then, we would have seen if they were any good! I guess the would have had a fair chance of a draw, but not more...... OT: What is your estimate how many Japanese women fainted when Jancker took of his shirt? ;) Civman10 Jun 02, 2002, 11:58 AM how are world cup seeds worked out for the groups (in the world cup)? and how are mexico higher on the ranking than England? We are a better Team and even better than Germany ( were they a seed) Dell19 Jun 02, 2002, 12:15 PM Isn't it something like this: Tere are 8 seeded teams, including last years winners and I thin both hosts. Then the rest are split into pots representing different countries and then they are drawn at random. However the pot system prevents all the African teams being placed in the same group etc. Baleog Jun 02, 2002, 02:59 PM Glad to see that nobody is praising Germany for an "heroic" performance. The Saudis should be ashamed to be Saudis after that performance, they aren't actually that bad. 6 of the goals were through unmarked players, and you can only congratulate the Germans on thier finishing. They still aren't guaranteed qualifying just because they scored a hatfull. |
