I there is a forum this should go in, please move it.
My problem is this; I love the "realism" of the civilizations but one thing about this mod is just crazy-Plague.
They kill my entire military and workforce. By the time I rebuild them, another plague.
What am I doing wrong?
How can I "heal" my troops and workers? They just go "poof" and I'm loosing cities because the Ind. nations that constantly attack never seem to be affected by my cities plague.
Moving them out of the city doesn't work either.
Any thoughts?
I now see "plague" under the civilopedia-oops! I guess I have more of a recommendation then-attacking armies should suffer too and workers etc shouldn't just go "poof" with no system messages.

Yeah the plague is annoying. And the plague can kill attacking armies. Once lost an army to the plague while attacking a city. Nothing stops wars world wide as good as the plague.

The plague kills everything, im afraid. even workers will parish, so its a good idea to just let them die, normally the strongest armymen will live.

there are many users who can deal with it successfully. They, more than me, could help you.

generally with a large stack of units in a city, only a few of the weaker ones get killed off, and workers seem to get taken first too, so as soon as you see the plague start popping up in your area move all your units into one or two cities, switch to health buildings and whip them asap. If your cities are healthy the plague wont stick around too long and you can go back to business, maybe even steal a city or two (or ten) from your neighbors.
It kind of sounds like maybe you are playing as Egypt, though, in which case you may have to accept the lose of a few cities to natives and barbs, and then try to take them back or rebuild them later (unless of course you can stack enough units in them to survive the plague and invaders [who do suffer damage from plague, but just don't hang around long enough for it to kill them]).

One thing that seems to have helped me is - as soon as you hear those groans get healthy units/ workers on boats and get out to sea. High seas if you can. Doesn't ALWAYS work but I've had plague free passengers most times I try it. Downside is red faces in my cities - but that can happen anayway.

I like to send those sick people to my neighbours:mischief:
Don't know if it will help spread the plague.
But I'll try your tip next time.

As soon as a neighbor of yours with open borders gets the plague or one of your cities, you need to be moving your units out of range of any city's X. Use boats or if you have the unoccupied land, that works too. I hardly ever lose more than a couple units to plague that way.
