Having grown up in Chicago, I have had the opportunity to see many baseball games at Wrigley Field. While the product on the field has often been horrible, the stadium itself should be on everyone's must see list. From the ivy covered walls to the manually operated scoreboard, there is a reason why locals call it "the friendly confines".:goodjob:

Since I have always lived in Montreal, I went a lot of times at the Olympic Stadium, the Molson Center and the old Forum. I also went to the Formula 1 Grand Prix but since it's not a stadium... :rolleyes:

But I also went to Fenway Park to see a game once, and to Camden Yards for a guided tour.

I liked all of them, but my favorite is Moslon Center and Fenway Park.

Wembley - before it was destroyed.

The centre piece of English football. Also it had a greyhound track which I think all sports stadia should have. Second choice would have to be Anfield and the famous Kop stand. Standing there watching Liverpool in a European competition singing you'll never walk alone is one of the best experiences anyone can ever have.

Memorial Stadium on a fall afternoon when the Cornhuskers are playing.

It's the third largest city in Nebraska by itself when football is being played there.:eek:

I also liked Mile High Stadium, and Busch Stadium is a great place for baseball.

The MCG, truly inspirational. The Adelaide oval also has the old-style manually operated scoreboard and stuff. But the MCG for me, beyond a doubt.

superdome in new orleans. the sweetest stadium in the world. can be used for any sport game. its a big ass stadium.

and the old Boston Garden was great for basketball

The Nou Camp in Barcelona. The last time I was there, they were lowering the pitch to add more seats in, and it has to be one of those stadiums that make you think "Wow!".
It was truely magnificent even when empty. I'd have loved to have seen it full.

Fenway Park and Wrigley Field are the best places for baseball, no competition.

The ivy covered brick walls of Wrigley are cool.

As for Fenway, everything about it is great: old stadium, green monster, it's everything a baseball field should be.

Nothing beats a beer, and watching the sun set behind the mountains from Coors Field.

The MCG! For the unfortunates that have yet to experience the delights of going to the AFL Grandfinal or Boxing Day Test match, M.C.G stands for Melbourne Cricket Ground.

And in my not so humble opinion is the greatest sports stadium in the known universe. Apart from hosting the 1956 Olympic Games, Cricket and real footy (Aussie Rules) we even allow games like Soccer internationals to be played there. :p :D

I also concur that the Adelaide Oval is a good place to watch Cricket. ;)

Ohio Stadium in Fall when the OSU Buckeyes play American college football. Now, after the renovations, while still maintaining the horseshoe look, with over 100,000 cheering, it's an awesome place to watch a game. But I have grown up in Columbus practically my whole life so I may have a little bias in me :)

Being a former Chicagoian myself, I have to agree, Wrigley is the most beautiful stadium in the US. It's almost worth the painfull experience that is a Cubs game to visit it. Wimbley was possibly the greatest in the world and I'm still a lil sad I never got to actually see in up close and personal. On other staduims that are now gone, the Old Chicago Stadium! A roar in the Chicago Stadium was described by Bobby Hull and Micheal Jordan as the most deafing of any stadium anywhere!

football hate to say it guys its college and basically a 3 way tie... U of Michigan/ U of Tennessee/ Rose Bowl... 100,000 crazy college fans at any 1 (coeds mmmmmmmmmm) , for pro Dallas.

Racing Well some would say Indy, but 3 wide, 14 rows deep, at 187 mph for most of a 500 mile race? Daytona a much better show

And final catagory Multiuse stadium???? Madison Square Garden

I think most baseball stadiums pale into insignificance when compared to Safeco Field (home of the Seattle Mariners). Of course, I'm biased since I'm a local fan - but I know the response from visiting teams has been very positive. As they say, there isn't a bad seat in the place. It does help the atmosphere of the games to have a virtual consistent sell-out crowd - more due to the M's than the stadium itself, of course. But overall, I think you'd be pushed to find a better place to be than a Mariners vs. Yankees game at Safeco field, on a Friday night, with a cold beer and some garlic fries watching the M's hammer those damn yankees! ;)

Nebraska's Memorial Stadium home of the Cornhuskers. With a packed house of over 77,000. The current streak of over 250 consecutive sellouts is the longest in college sports history. :D

My favourite stadium is Croke Park in Dublin. Its going under a major refit at the moment and it looks great. At the moment the Cusack stand is the best place to be (especially the premium level with the bar in the back) but the Hogan stand will be as good when it is finished.
There is great atmosphere during Gaelic football and Hurling matches and you always bumb into someone you know. Great craic indeed.

On a personal level, Kardinia Park in Geelong.

But, for the purposes of national unity, one will endorse the home of the Holy Grail - the MCG. Great for cricket, and one of God's favourite stages in football.
