I've looked all over the various support sites for Civ 3, and don't see this mentioned - Goolge searches don't seem to turn up anything, either.

I've started several games, and this happens everytime I create a Colony.

Anyone else seen this, and/or have any ideas of what I can do about it?

Tech support sure isn't my strong suit, but I know I've seen this before. I ran a search on the forums. There's some stuff on page 228 of the "Quick Answers/Newbie Questions" thread up in General Discussions. Try there and run a couple of searches through the forums, because I know it's been discussed before.
