Does anyone know where I can find some kind of a guide that explains/shows all the different map types available in Civ4 BTS? Preferably with screenshots.

I like the Big and Small, and the Medium and Small options, with the islands scattered among the continents. The Donut is odd. You get a ring of civilizations around either an inland sea or a big lump of mountains. You often get a spine of mountains almost separating you and a bordering civilization.

Hemispheres... all i got to say is Hemispheres.

I feel ya. That guide was made around the time Civ 4 was released, so it's old.

i gave hemispheres a chance...used to generate a bunch of maps but i wasnt really feeling it...went back to fractal
